Giving to the Michigan 4-H Children's Gardens

of the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens:
$25–$124
With a gift of at least $25 a year, you can become a friend of the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens. Your gift will build on the legacy that the Children’s Gardens have already become through outstanding gardens and creative learning opportunities.
Friends of the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens are invited to an annual event in the gardens and receive a newsletter. For $11 in addition to a gift, members will also receive a summer parking pass* and reciprocal benefits at participating American Horticultural Society gardens.**
Because the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens are supported by the Michigan 4-H Foundation, your gift will also be recognized according to giving level through the foundation’s Clover Citation Program.
* Free parking May 15 to Sept. 1. Sorry, does not apply to MSU students, faculty or staff. **The AHS Reciprocal Gardens Program provides free admission to the Frederik Meijer Garden, Leila Arboretum, Dow Gardens, and around 170 other gardens across the U.S.
Sponsor Friends: $125–$999
Please consider becoming a sponsor friend of the 4-H Children’s Gardens to help keep the gardens in top shape and enhance educational facilities and programs. You will be sent a form to specify your desired acknowledgement. You can help in several ways:
Sponsor a brick — $250
For a $250 donation, the name of your choice will be inscribed on a commemorative brick. Bricks can be donated in your name; in honor of a family, friend or club; or in memory of loved ones and are placed in the Demonstration Plaza of the outdoor 4-H Children’s Garden. Sponsor a day — $500
Make a special day this year yours in the 4-H Children’s Gardens by becoming a day sponsor. A name of your choice will be featured in the newsletter and 4-H Children’s Gardens website in addition to being displayed in the gardens on that day. (Dates subject to availability.) Major Gift Friends: $1,000 and above
Major gifts to the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens support the future of the gardens and its learning opportunities. Major gifts to the Michigan 4-H Foundation are also recognized by Michigan State University major gift clubs.
Sponsor an amphitheater seat — $1,000
By sponsoring an amphitheater seat in Demonstration Plaza of the outdoor 4 H Children’s Garden you will help ensure that the amphitheater continues to be an exceptional place for educational demonstrations and presentations. Download the amphitheater seat sponsor form.
Sponsor an activity center — $2,500
Discovery Carts and Wonder Totes provide teachers, families and other visitors even more access to education in the gardens. Be among the first to sponsor a year of garden education through a cart or set of five totes. Download the activity center sponsor form.
Other major gifts
The impact of your donation will reach far into the future with a gift to the Gardens Education Fund, the Gardens Renewal Fund, or by creating a named endowment. Other possible focuses for a major gift friend are sponsorship of an indoor garden theme area and development of garden educational programs, including technology-delivered curriculum and programs. Gifts of $5,000 or more will be recognized on the Friends Terrace Plaque located at the west entrance to the outdoor garden.

About the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens
The outdoor Michigan 4-H Children’s Garden on the campus of Michigan State University opened in 1993 and has become the premier model in the United States for innovative use of gardens to teach children about science, literature and our natural environment. The indoor Michigan 4-H Children’s Garden opened in 2003 and provides year-round plant science learning opportunities. The gardens have also become a a national leader in the integration of technology to enhance and expand the hands-on garden experiences.
