Former
Director, Accomplished economist, public servant and author David A. Stockman is most noted for his tenure as director of the Office of Management and Budget in the Reagan Administration. Today he is a founding partner with Heartland Industrial Partners, a private equity firm that acquires and expands industrial companies in sectors that have potential for consolidation and growth. He was an original partner and senior managing director of the Blackstone Group, a private equity group that played a leadership role in several notable leveraged buyouts. During his 12 years with Blackstone, he led 10 investments with a transaction value of $10 billion. He also served as managing director in the corporate finance department of Salomon Brothers, Inc. After his term in
the Reagan Administration, he wrote the best-selling book, The Triumph
of Politics: Why the Reagan Revolution Failed.
